Why should you enter? The competition is about more than just the cash: get the opportunity to learn valuable fundamentals to improve your business, get feedback from industry leaders and make lasting connections with the tech community. Even if you think you might not be in the running for top prizes, there are lots of ways to get involved.
Who has won before? Many top placing companies earn valuable recognition and have gone on to raise capital, expand their teams, and scale their businesses. Like Edvisor, Awesense, Vonigo, Minesense, and LightIntegra, just to name a few!
Not sure if you qualify? The competition is open to early-stage tech companies: you can have a startup or just be in the idea stage. By early stage, NVBC means that your business cannot have raised over $1,000,000 in financing.
What types of tech?New Ventures BC applies a broad definition of technology—past entrants have reimagined lighting systems, created an app for carpooling and designed new, painless ways to administer vaccinations. There’s room for all types of innovative technologies.
